LOL I love red and white checked shemaghs (but usually not on me) because they remind me of my husband!!!!!!!!!! My mother says they remind her of table cloths...
Pics taken off of an interview show filmed in the Emirates.
Majda: LOL, oh please honey, I'm sure you looked fine but don't even JOKE about compromising your hijab for FASHION:D LOVE. He he he, I never tried the look, but mainly cuz the girls in Oman told me I couldn't let any of my hair show if I was Muslim. They said I look Sikh if I wore the shayla with hair bits all a poppin' so alhamdulilah I learnt about khimar as a non-muslim.
I like it! But seriously, how does that scarf stay on her head?

candice its a clip dat they used under their scarf it is called burg al arab in dubai becoz it gives you volume and makes you look like you have alot of hair
Whoa, it bothers me that everyone is putting her down for showing hair and not wearing a proper "hijab." This woman is blatantly a non-muhajabah. I'm sure that women who wear scarves like this already know it's "not hijab". Her religious affiliation may be Muslim, but who knows/cares how strictly religious she is? A headscarf is part of Arab (and other) cultural dress - it does not have to automatically represent Islam. The shemagh and thobe for men is also cultural dress - yes, Muslims wear it, but it is not exclusively Islamic. This woman is wearing traditional Arabic clothing, as is the man, plain and simple. It can be hijabified or de-hijabified to the wearer's liking. A headscarf with bangs showing is pure fashion. It's not ~hijab rebellion~. This woman is not as religious as you are. Let it go and wear your own scarves your own way.

I am not sure what to make of last comment, let it go and wear your scarf your own way???ya'ni???this woman is making a public sin, everyone is focusing on the horrible big hair and scarf not hijab please, but what about the horrible ton of make-up she is wearing???Atrocious is the word and don't forget the insanely plucked eyebrows, plucking eyebrows is cursed by Rasooloolah meaning ALLAH cursed it and those women will not scent the paradise as they are making a total display of themselves which is Tabarruj, amazingly the more you tell them the more they do it??I keep telling my sister in laws that it's haram to pluck the brows and showed them evidence, ya'ni it's not from my over active mind and lac of anything conclusive to do in my life, that I mentioned it to them or anyone else, does those women actually realise or just want to turn on death ear and continue what ever they pleases or is it just plain stupidity??!!! oh for God sake stop plucking your eyebrows it looks stupid especially with that thick line of Coal you are rubbing on top???I mean what's the point, shave and pluck the eyebrows to then have the hassle of drawing every single day some line which looks hideous and fake, or looking like a plucked pigeon who fell in the mazout????? crazy world.
