I want to wear niqab here in the West, but there are a few obstacles in my way of yet. I think it would be good for me, but I don't think people should wear it if they don't understand it or believe in it. (That's not my problem but I thought I'd put that out there). I often used this site and search through for half niqabs in the colour I want http://www.al-mujalbaba.com/niqaabs.html and then I go to a local store and find a pashmina that matches the exact shade of the niqab. I like matching niqab sets for the most part.

What state do u live in sis? or country, I live in Ohio and i wore the niqab for two years. mashaallah i had a few incidents but nothing bad to the point where it got physical, but really muslim or not, hijab or not, some one sme where is ALWAYS gonna talk, so why not strive and do best for allah subanaa wa ta'ala? The prophet salaalahu alayhi wa salaam said himself "the sunnah began as something strange, and it will end as something strange"
Even the people of the book made comments about them or passing the prophet saying "siyom'alaikum) (may death be upon u) but he kept his head held high and set the best example possible.
