RUNWAY: Pink Salvatore Ferragamo Spring 2009 Dress

Okay, isn't this dress just breathtakingly.... covering? I mean the color is crazy and all that but the dress is so lovely and draped and just.... waaaaaaaa and it hardly shows any curves at all... Now I am not suggesting anyone go out and buy the crazy expensive designer stuff I'm posting unless you are beyond rich and give hella zakat and encourage others to do so too (nothing in Islam forbids this) but the designer inspiration pieces out there? I just want you all to know what they cost and where they come from so you can take your inspiration and know where it came from and what it sells for. LOL, because, if you are a cheap skate like me:D you can be happy about all the great deals you got. So, just to let you know, this Salvatore Ferragamo Dress costs $22,000, and it can be purchased by phone call at these digits 800-628-8916. With a dress this modest, all I'd have to do it add hijab, and this is the perfect hot pink hijab Beaded Square Hijab - Thin Fabric - HOT PINK for $9.90 GBP. But I am more likely buy this abaya http://www.muslimahessentials.com/stylish-two-layer-jilbab-79-p.asp for $36.95 GBP.

Forget the dress. I want the purse. I've wanted that very purse ever since it came out, over a year ago. Unfortunately, the last time I checked, the purse sold for somewhere around $2000 USD. For that, I could buy many outfits, pairs of shoes and purses....I can't even begin to justify spending that kind of money on a purse.

Love the hijab and the pretty bottom of it! I think it would look strange at the masjid, but perfect for a party, maybe a rehearsal dinner. Love you and these ideas sweetie!

Absolutely breathtaking dress indeed...

I would love to hear your thoughts on something please. How do you feel about a non-Muslim wearing a hijab? I find some of them really beautiful actually but I'm not affiliated with any religion. I do believe in God though (I actually prefer the word Allah in this case since the word doesn't let you assign a gender to God. I find that extraordinarily beautiful!!). Anyway, I definitely understand how Muslim women feel DIGNIFIED when they're covered, and even empowered. (By the way, Paris Hilton was in Dubai recently, LOL, and even she was overjoyed with her STUNNING jilbab! Have you seen her in it??? It was designed by Zahra Karmostaji, I believe.) I feel like sometimes wearing a headscarf, or an abaya, a jilbab... but I'm really hoping I don't disrespect any Muslim in this case since I dont identify myself as one.

Thanks in advance.

Also, hmmm, it seems like I'm not the only one. Here's someone who doesn't identify as a Muslim, or any religion for that matter, but just loves wearing the hijab:

Again, would love your thoughts on this. God bless.

I hope I don't annoy you with this, but I was eager to bring it up since it's so refreshing and I feel, at the very least, a step in the right direction as far as breaking down prejudices go. Paris Hilton has an official Twitter account and on it you're also able to share photos. When Paris Hilton was in Dubai she put up some photos of her in a jilbab and the like. She also proclaimed she "loves middle eastern fashion." ;-) Check out these photos:
