i LOVED this!! Mashaallah it was so beautiful! I have a question, I can't find the ruling anywhere but is it mandatory to have a walimah? Because honestly i don't want one. i rather go all out for my henna party and nikah, and the money i'd spend on the walilah would be used towards something like a trip to umrah or something. i was thinking just getting a cake for the people there, and then me and my entire family go out to dinner, and call it a night!

Iman (Life's Balance Beam): Wa alaykom e salaam ramatullahi wa barakato, the walimah is a sunnah, not fard, but you can certainly do your walimah simply. The point of the walimah is to publicize the marriage to the Muslim community so sevring food to family and some Muslims at the Mosque suffices. Rasoolulah hated large bridal feasts to show off. ;) so enjoy your henna and nikah:)

Hind: thank the sis whose blog this came from, her bridal pics are amazing:)
