I have seen quite a few Egyptian and African sisters wearing hip length khimars but I haven't. Most of the time they remind me of my grandma's table cloth, I'll be honest, but I am starting to think I could wear this look, and I admire it's modesty. Top look, for a semi-formal occasion.
This look, for a dressy girly during-the-daylight-hours occasion (very summery).
Something with a little bit of street cred.
LOL, this one is sooooooooooo totally me. I love navy.
All khimars featured are from http://www.hijabgirl.com/la1007.html which is a good site, in my experience.

PS Just wanna know if any of you ladies may help me on the topic of eyebrow shaping: Sheikh Ahmed Kutty says plucking to make it thin is prohibited. But that removing excess hair around the eyebrows is permissible in order to be neat and tidy. Exactly what is excess hair? Modern plucking removes excess hair and keeps brows natural shape, is this considered allowed? Or is it thinning? Appreciate your input...
Thanks
I would love to wear it. It's so beautiful and modest mashallah.
to annon: I believe the access hair is the unibrow, the hair in between ur eyes because its not apart of an eyebrow.

I like these khimars and I have tried wearing them myself but I've never left the house with it cuz it doesn't look right on me and I don't know how to make it look right.
